Because the panel wraps around the point of impact, a Mate 30 Pro that lands on its side frequently damages the display even where the glass looks intact. If colours have shifted, a coloured line has appeared, or an area has stopped responding, that is the panel rather than the glass.

Ghost touch on a curved edge
