Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen Screen Replacement
£119
Repair Description
Cracked, chipped or shattered display? Our Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen screen replacement restores your 40mm or 44mm Retina display to flawless condition. On the SE 2, the Ion-X front glass, the touch digitiser and the OLED panel are bonded into a single assembly and sealed to the case with adhesive - so a "small crack" often means dead touch zones, ghost taps or water getting in later.
Our technicians heat-release the old assembly, clean the frame, transfer the sensors, fit a colour-accurate replacement and re-seal it with fresh waterproof adhesive so your watch keeps its WR-50 water resistance.

Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen Battery Replacement
£79
Repair Description
If your Apple Watch SE 2 dies by mid-afternoon, shuts down at 20 %, or the screen has started lifting at one corner, it's time for a battery replacement. The SE 2's compact lithium-ion cell is rated for roughly 18 hours of normal use, but after 500-plus charge cycles - usually around the two-year mark, and faster if you sleep-track or use GPS workouts daily - capacity falls away sharply and the cell can swell and push the display out of the case.
We fit a certified high-capacity replacement, verify the health readings, reseal the housing and pressure-check the water resistance, so your watch holds a full day's charge again and safely powers Workout, Sleep Tracking, Crash Detection and Fall Detection when you need them most.

Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen Charging Repair
£89
Repair Description
Watch not charging, charging intermittently, or showing a red lightning bolt that never turns green? Because the Apple Watch SE 2 charges wirelessly through a magnetic inductive coil in the rear case, charging problems usually trace back to a failed charging coil, sweat and salt corrosion on the back cover, a damaged charger cable, a faulty charge-management IC on the logic board, or a battery so degraded it can no longer accept current.
We test the puck, the cable, the coil and the board in that order rather than guessing - so you only pay for the part that has actually failed. Once repaired, we run a full charge cycle on the bench and confirm your Apple Watch SE 2 charges reliably overnight before it's returned to you.

Have an unusual fault with your Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen and no idea what's causing it? Our technicians carefully assess your watch, identify the exact root cause, explain the suitable repair option in plain English and confirm the full price before any work begins - and if we can't fix it, you don't pay. Not sure which repair you need? Send it in and let us find out for you.

Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen Repair: Flagship Brains, Budget Body
The SE 2nd Gen, released in September 2022, runs the exact same S8 processor as the flagship Series 8 of the same year. It also has Crash Detection, which can automatically call emergency services if you’re in a serious car accident, plus Fall Detection and Emergency SOS. On performance and safety, it gives very little away.
Where Apple saved money was the outside. Every SE 2 has an aluminium case with Ion-X glass – there’s no sapphire crystal option like the Series models offer. Ion-X shrugs off scratches nicely, but it’s the least impact-resistant glass Apple uses on a watch. That single decision is why cracked screens make up the majority of the SE 2 repairs we handle.
The upside for you: because every SE 2 uses the same glass and case material, quoting is simple and parts are consistent. There’s no guessing which version you have.
Charging Slowly? That’s Normal on the SE
This one catches out a lot of SE 2 owners, and it’s worth checking before you book anything. The Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen does not support fast charging. That feature was reserved for the Series 7 and above. So if your SE takes noticeably longer to charge than a friend’s Series 8 or Series 9, nothing is broken – it’s simply how the watch was built.
What isn’t normal is a watch that won’t charge at all, charges only at a certain angle, or gets warm without gaining any percentage. Those point to sweat corrosion where the charger meets the back of the case, a worn charging cable, or a battery that’s reached the end of its life – all things we can sort out.
Not sure which you’re dealing with? Send it in and we’ll tell you for free.
Good News: Your SE 2 Still Runs the Latest Software
If you’re weighing up repairing versus replacing, this is the deciding factor.
The SE 2nd Gen is fully supported by watchOS 26, Apple’s current software. You still receive new features, security updates and full app support, exactly like someone wearing a brand-new watch. This matters because the older SE from 2020 was left behind at watchOS 10 and no longer gets updates at all.
So repairing an SE 2 isn’t patching up something on its way out. It’s restoring a current, fully-featured watch for a small fraction of what a replacement costs.

Quick tip: a red ring around the Digital Crown means you have a Cellular model.
Telling it apart from the 2020 SE: turn the watch over. The 2nd Gen has a back that matches the colour of the case. The 1st Gen has a glossy black back regardless of case colour. It’s the fastest way to be certain, and it matters – the two generations use different parts.
The 40mm and 44mm also take completely different screens and batteries, so give us your model number and we’ll quote accurately first time.
The Faults We See Most on the SE 2
- Cracked screens. Comfortably the most common. The Ion-X glass resists scratches but not impacts, so a door frame, a dropped dumbbell or a fall onto a hard floor is usually enough.
- Worn batteries. Steadily climbing as these watches age past three years. Look for shutdowns above 20%, heavy overnight drain, or a corner of the screen beginning to lift. That last one is a swollen battery and it’s worth acting on quickly rather than leaving it.
- Charging faults. Almost always sweat and grime that has built up between the back of the watch and the charger over months of daily use.
- Stiff or stuck Digital Crown. Very common among swimmers, runners and gym users, as salt, chalk and sun cream work their way inside until the crown won’t turn properly.
- Water getting in. The SE 2 is perfectly happy in a swimming pool, but it was never designed for hot showers, saunas, seawater or pressure washers. Its seals also stiffen with age, so an older watch is more vulnerable than a new one.
One Thing the SE 2 Does Better Than the Series 8
Here’s something most people don’t realise. The SE 2 has no always-on display – the screen switches off when you lower your wrist, rather than staying dimly lit.
That’s usually listed as a downside, but it’s genuinely good news for battery longevity. Because the screen spends far less time lit, SE 2 batteries typically age more slowly than those in a Series 8 or Series 9 of the same year. If you’re wondering whether a battery replacement will hold up, on this model it tends to last well.
What Happens When You Book
- Free check. We test the screen, touch response, crown, buttons, sound, sensors, motion detection and charging, so we identify the real fault rather than the obvious one.
- Fixed price. You get the exact cost and a realistic timescale before we begin. Nothing goes ahead until you approve it.
- The repair. Quality parts, the correct tools, and a proper waterproof reseal every single time.
- Tested again. Full function check and a complete charge cycle before your watch is packed and returned.
Your data is never accessed, and your watch is never wiped without your permission.
Repair or Replace? Our Honest View
Repair, in the vast majority of cases. Your SE 2 runs the current software, has Crash Detection and Fall Detection, and does everything it did the day you bought it. A screen or battery replacement costs a fraction of a new watch and takes a few days, rather than an evening of unpairing, setting up and losing your Activity history.
There is one situation where upgrading makes more sense. The SE 2 doesn’t have ECG or Blood Oxygen, so if you specifically want those health features, a Series model is what you’re after – and we’ll tell you that rather than sell you a repair that won’t give you what you want.
We’re equally honest when a repair isn’t worth it. Severe water damage or a very heavy impact sometimes can’t be fixed reliably, and we’d rather say so than take your money for work that won’t last.
