Apple Watch Ultra 2 Screen Replacement
£199
Repair Description
Cracked the sapphire on your Ultra 2? It takes real force - Apple sets the flat sapphire crystal behind a raised titanium border so the metal absorbs impacts before the glass does. But a direct hit on rock, a dropped weight or a hard fall can still get through.
The Ultra 2 display reaches 3,000 nits, the brightest Apple has ever fitted to a watch, so the replacement part genuinely matters here. A budget panel simply cannot reach that brightness and you'd notice immediately in sunlight. We fit properly matched sapphire assemblies and reseal your watch with fresh waterproof adhesive to restore its water resistance.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 Battery Replacement
£89
Repair Description
The Ultra 2 was built for 36 hours of normal use, stretching to 72 hours in low power mode - enough for a weekend in the hills without a charger. So when the battery starts fading, Ultra 2 owners notice fast, because not thinking about charging is the entire appeal.
If yours is falling well short of a day and a half, or shutting down mid-workout, the battery has likely reached the end of its life. We fit a certified high-capacity replacement, verify the health readings, and reseal the case properly afterwards.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 Charging Repair
£89
Repair Description
Ultra 2 won't charge, or only charges in one position? These watches live outdoors. Sea water, sand, mud, sunscreen and sweat all collect around the back of the case where the charger sits, and corrosion or debris there is the most common cause - followed by a worn charging cable or a battery that can no longer accept power.
We test the charger, then the cable, then the watch itself in that order rather than swapping parts and hoping. That means you only pay for what has genuinely failed, and every charging repair gets a full charge cycle before it comes back to you.

Repair Description
Something else wrong? The Ultra 2 has components no Series watch has, and we cover all of them. We regularly fix a seized or unresponsive Action Button, a siren that won't sound, depth gauge and water temperature sensor faults, water damage from sea or pool use, blocked microphones and speakers, Double Tap not responding, GPS accuracy problems, Blood Oxygen and ECG faults, a stuck Digital Crown, overheating and cellular signal issues.
We assess your watch thoroughly, identify the real cause, explain it in plain English and confirm the full price before starting any work. And if we can't fix it, you don't pay a penny.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 Repair: Why the Screen Part Matters So Much
The Ultra 2 has the brightest display Apple has ever put in a watch, and that has a direct bearing on repairs.
Released in September 2023, the Ultra 2 pushed peak brightness to 3,000 nits – a 50% jump over the original Ultra, and readable in full Mediterranean sun. At the other end, it dims to a single nit so it won’t blind you in a tent at 3am.
That range is the whole point of the watch, and it’s why the replacement display you fit is not a detail. Budget aftermarket panels cannot reach 3,000 nits. A cheap repair leaves you with a watch that looks fine indoors and becomes hard to read in exactly the conditions you bought an Ultra for. We fit correctly matched sapphire display assemblies, and we’ll tell you plainly what we’re fitting. If you’ve been quoted a suspiciously low price for an Ultra 2 screen elsewhere, this is usually why.
Double Tap: The Fastest Way to Confirm You Have an Ultra 2
The Ultra and Ultra 2 are almost impossible to tell apart by eye. Same 49mm titanium case, same flat sapphire front, same orange Action Button, same raised border.
The reliable test is Double Tap – the gesture where you pinch your index finger and thumb together twice to answer a call or stop a timer. The Ultra 2 has it. The original Ultra does not, and never will, because it needs the newer chip inside.
Check Settings > Gestures on your watch. If Double Tap is listed, you have an Ultra 2 or newer. It matters for repairs because the two generations use different internal parts despite the identical exterior.
Worth knowing: if Double Tap has stopped working after a knock or a previous repair, that’s usually a sensor issue rather than a settings problem. We test it as standard on every Ultra 2 that comes in.
Which Apple Watch Ultra 2 Do You Have?
Open the Watch app on your iPhone, tap General, then About to find your model number.
| Model | Size | Type | Case |
|---|---|---|---|
| A2986 | 49mm | GPS + Cellular | Titanium |
Simple, for once. Every UK Ultra 2 is the same 49mm titanium, cellular-equipped watch – there are no size options, no aluminium version and no GPS-only variant to work out.
Natural or Black Titanium? Tell Us When You Book
The Ultra 2 launched in natural titanium only. In late 2024 Apple added a satin black titanium finish, which quickly became the more popular choice.
Mechanically the two are identical and repairs are the same job. Where it matters is cosmetic: if any part of the case or hardware needs replacing, we need to match the finish properly. A natural titanium component on a black titanium watch is immediately obvious and looks wrong.
So mention your finish when you book, and we’ll make sure the right parts are ready before your watch arrives.
Blood Oxygen App Missing? Check Where It Was Bought
This catches out anyone who bought their Ultra 2 abroad or second-hand from overseas. Ultra 2 watches sold in the United States from January 2024 had the Blood Oxygen feature disabled following a patent dispute. Watches sold in the UK were never affected – Blood Oxygen works normally here.
So if your Blood Oxygen app has disappeared or won’t take a reading, and your watch came from the US, that’s a software restriction rather than a fault, and no repair can restore it. If your watch is a UK model and Blood Oxygen has stopped working, that’s a genuine hardware issue – usually damage to the sensors in the back of the case. Send it in and we’ll tell you which for free.
The Problems We Fix Most Often
- Salt water damage. Considerably more common on Ultra 2s than any Series watch, because of how they get used. Sea water is far more corrosive than pool water – rinsing with fresh water after every swim genuinely extends the life of the watch.
- Action Button faults. Sand, salt crystals and dried sunscreen work into the button housing until it feels gritty, needs a hard press, or stops responding. Sometimes a deep clean fixes it; sometimes the assembly needs replacing.
- Cracked sapphire. Less frequent than on aluminium Series models thanks to the protective titanium border, but a direct impact will still break it.
- Battery decline. Increasingly common as these reach two to three years old, and quickly noticed given the battery life these watches are known for.
- Blocked speakers and microphones. Water and grit in the ports leave calls muffled and can stop the 86-decibel siren working properly – worth checking if you rely on it.
- Depth gauge and temperature sensor faults. These use a sensor exposed to the outside, so blockage or damage stops readings.
- Charging problems. Corrosion and debris around the back of the case where the charger sits.
A Word About Diving After Any Repair
We’d rather be straight with you than tell you what you want to hear. Apple states that water resistance is not a permanent condition and diminishes over time. Once a watch has been opened, its original dive certification cannot be formally re-established – not by us, and not by Apple either.
What we do: reseal your Ultra 2 with fresh waterproof adhesive and pressure-test it, restoring water resistance for swimming, watersports, showering and everyday wet conditions.
What we won’t do: promise it’s safe for recreational scuba to 40 metres afterwards, because nobody can honestly certify that once the case has been opened. If you dive with your Ultra 2 and rely on the depth gauge as dive equipment, you need to know that before booking any repair, anywhere.

Repair or Replace? Our Honest View
Repair, and it really isn’t a close call. The Ultra 2 was a significant purchase, it’s built from titanium and sapphire, and it still runs Apple’s current software, watchOS 26 – so it receives new features and security updates exactly like a brand-new watch.
Replacing one because of a flat battery, a seized Action Button or a cracked screen would be a poor financial decision by any measure. A targeted repair costs a fraction of a replacement and returns the watch to full working order.
The only cases where we’d advise against repair are severe salt water damage that has spread through the internals, or catastrophic impact damage. We’ll tell you honestly rather than take the job.
