iPhone 15 Pro Repairs: A Generation Worth Keeping

The 15 Pro was a significant redesign. Apple moved the Pro line to a titanium frame, dropped Lightning for USB-C, and replaced the mute switch with the programmable Action button. Three years on, it remains a capable phone with plenty of software support left, and repair costs have fallen far enough that keeping it is comfortably the better decision for most owners.

A screen is £185. A battery is £75. Set against what a comparable handset costs today, neither is a difficult call. We carry out all of this in-house at Essex rather than posting your phone to a third party.

iPhone 15 Pro Screen Replacement (£185)

The display is a bonded OLED assembly beneath Ceramic Shield glass, replaced as one unit because glass and panel are laminated together. Screen damage remains the most common reason a 15 Pro comes to us.

• Cracks spreading from the point of impact, usually a corner
• Areas of the screen that no longer register touch
• Green or pink lines running vertically down the display
• Black patches that grow larger over several days
• Phantom touches occurring with nobody holding the phone

Worth checking first: if the phone still rings and vibrates but the screen stays dark, the display connector may simply have been knocked loose. That is far cheaper than a panel and we test for it before quoting. For screen faults with no drop behind them, phone screen flickering is worth reading.

iPhone 15 Pro Battery Replacement (£75)

At this age, battery is the repair we recommend most often on this model. Three years of daily charging puts a handset well past the point where capacity holds up, and £75 is a fraction of what replacing the phone would cost to achieve the same result.

• Maximum capacity below 80 percent in Settings, Battery, Battery Health
• Shutting down abruptly with charge still displayed
• Charge dropping in sudden steps rather than gradually
• The handset warm during light use
• Not lasting the working day when it comfortably used to

iPhone 15 Pro Back Glass Replacement (£85)

Rear glass is structurally bonded and needs laser separation to come off cleanly. The titanium frame introduced with this generation behaves differently under heat to the stainless steel used before it, which is another reason the job is not a heat gun and a suction cup.

• Loose fragments scratch the camera lenses from the inside
• The moisture seal is broken the moment the glass cracks
• Wireless and MagSafe charging turn intermittent
• Resale value falls by more than the repair costs to fix

iPhone 15 Pro Charging Repair (£59)

This was the first Pro to use USB-C, and the transition brought its own problems. Owners with drawers full of Lightning cables tend to rely on adapters, and adapters put leverage on the port that a direct cable does not. If you have been charging through a dongle, that may well be why you are here.

Before assuming the worst, though, most non-charging phones simply have compacted lint stopping the cable seating fully. We check that first. Genuine failure means charging only at one angle, dropping out when the phone moves, a loose connector, or charging that works while data transfer will not. iPhone 15 Pro Camera Repair (£69)

At £69 this is one of the better value camera repairs in the range. The rear array stands proud of the body, so the outer lens cover takes the impact when the phone lands face up, and cover damage is considerably cheaper than replacing a module.

• Cracked lens cover glass with a healthy module underneath
• Blurry images across every shooting mode after a drop
• Rattling or grinding as optical stabilisation fails
• Camera app opening black or crashing immediately
• Ultra-wide or telephoto dead while the main lens works

Action Button and Side Button Faults

The Action button arrived with this generation, and being a mechanical switch in constant use, it wears. Symptoms are easy to mistake for software: no response at all, needing a firmer press than before, registering two presses from one, or triggering by itself in a pocket. Volume and power buttons fail similarly.

These are flex cable and switch assembly repairs rather than board work, and they are quoted after a diagnostic because the cost depends on which assembly has failed. We will tell you what it needs rather than guessing over the phone.

Water Damage and Faults Needing Diagnosis

Liquid damage cannot be honestly quoted before the phone is open. Corrosion spreads at its own pace and the real answer emerges once the board has been cleaned and tested. How Long It Takes and What Is Covered

In-store repairs are generally completed within one to three hours the same day, and you can wait while we work. Mail-in repairs are usually finished within eight to twelve hours of arriving at the workshop and returned by tracked delivery, with most customers receiving their phone in two to three working days. All eligible repairs include a 12 month warranty covering parts and labour. Anything failing that relates to our work is put right at no cost. New accidental damage, liquid damage and unrelated pre-existing faults are excluded, and third party work afterwards voids the cover.
