iPhone 15 Repairs: One of the Most Common Phones We See

The standard iPhone 15 sold in enormous numbers, and it is now at the age where things start needing attention. Batteries are the big one. Screens, as always, are the other. Both are inexpensive enough on this model that repairing is the obvious choice: £159 for a screen and £75 for a battery against the cost of replacing a handset that still has years of iOS updates ahead of it.

This was also the generation where the standard iPhone finally got USB-C and the Dynamic Island, which means it feels far more current than its age suggests. There is no good reason to retire one over a cracked screen.

Screen Replacement for the iPhone 15 (£159)

An OLED panel bonded to Ceramic Shield glass and fitted as a single assembly. Because glass and display are laminated together, cracked glass means the whole unit is replaced. This is the repair we quote most often on this model.

• Cracks radiating from wherever the phone struck the ground
• Dead zones where the touchscreen no longer responds
• Green or pink lines running down the panel
• Black patches bleeding outwards day by day
• Ghost touches registering without anyone touching the screen

Before you book, one thing worth ruling out: a phone that rings, vibrates and clearly still works but displays nothing has frequently just lost its display connector in the fall. Battery Replacement for the iPhone 15 (£75)

This is the repair that transforms an ageing iPhone 15. Most are now past enough charge cycles that capacity has fallen noticeably, and owners assume the phone has simply got old and slow. Usually it has not. It has a tired battery, and £75 puts that right.

• Maximum capacity under 80 percent in Settings, Battery, Battery Health
• Sudden shutdowns with charge apparently remaining
• Charge falling in jumps rather than smoothly
• Warmth during light tasks like messaging
• Needing a top-up by early afternoon

Do rule out software first, because a healthy battery replaced fixes nothing. Back Glass Replacement for the iPhone 15 (£79)

The rear panel is bonded to the frame and separated with a laser rather than heat and prying tools. Attempted the wrong way, the wireless charging coil and MagSafe magnets sitting directly underneath rarely survive, which is why plenty of shops decline this job or quote unpredictably for it.

• Loose fragments scratch the camera lenses from behind
• The water seal is gone as soon as the glass cracks
• Wireless and MagSafe charging become unreliable

Charging Repair for the iPhone 15 (£59)

The 15 was the first standard iPhone with USB-C, and a lot of owners still charge through Lightning adapters out of habit. Adapters lever on the port in a way a direct cable does not, and over time that loosens the connector.

That said, most phones brought to us as charging faults need cleaning rather than repairing. Compacted lint at the bottom of the socket stops the cable seating fully and we check that before anything else. Real failure means charging at one angle only, cutting out when the phone moves, a loose-feeling socket, or charging that works while data transfer does not. Camera Repair for the iPhone 15 (£69)

Camera work divides into cracked lens cover and failed module, at meaningfully different prices. The rear array sits proud of the body, so cover glass takes the hit when the phone lands face up, and that is the cheaper outcome by a good margin.

• Cracked outer lens cover with the module beneath undamaged
• Soft or blurry images across every mode after a drop
• Rattling or grinding as stabilisation fails
• Camera app opening to black or crashing on launch
• Ultra-wide dead while the main lens works normally

Water Damage and Faults Without an Obvious Cause

Liquid damage is assessed rather than quoted, on every model. Corrosion progresses unevenly and the honest answer only arrives once the board is open and cleaned. Anything else unclear carries a £15 diagnostic that comes off the repair if you proceed. Random restarts, no signal, muffled audio and drain that makes no sense all sit here. Phone keeps restarting and phone overheating are useful starting points.

Timescales, Warranty and Where to Find Us

In-store repairs are usually completed within one to three hours on the same day and you are welcome to wait. Mail-in repairs are typically finished within eight to twelve hours of arriving and returned by tracked delivery, most customers seeing their phone again in two to three working days. Every eligible repair carries a 12 month warranty on parts and labour. Faults relating to our work are corrected at no cost. New accidental damage, liquid damage and unrelated faults are excluded, and third party work afterwards voids it.
