iPhone 15 Pro Max Repair Prices and What They Cover
The 15 Pro Max is now a few years into its life, which puts it in the sweet spot for repair. Parts supply is good, prices have settled well below what they were at launch, and the handset still has years of iOS support ahead of it. A screen that cost considerably more to replace two years ago is £219 today.
This generation also marked Apple moving the Pro line to USB-C, and that matters more for repairs than people expect. Owners charging with older Lightning accessories through adapters put more mechanical stress on the port than a direct cable does, and we see the consequences of that regularly.
Everything below is carried out at our own bench in Essex, with a twelve month warranty.
Screen Replacement (£219)
A bonded OLED panel under Ceramic Shield glass, replaced as one assembly. The Pro Max panel is the largest and most expensive Apple makes, though the price has come down substantially since this model was current.
- Cracks radiating from a corner or edge impact
- Unresponsive patches where touch no longer registers
- Green or pink vertical lines following a drop
- Dark bleeding that expands over several days
- Ghost touch, where inputs happen unprompted
Check this before booking: a phone that rings and vibrates but shows nothing has often only lost a display connector, which costs far less to put right than a panel. We test for it first. If your display is failing with no impact behind it, read phone screen flickering.
We transfer the original display data so True Tone continues working after the swap. Full detail on our iPhone screen repair page.
Battery Replacement (£79)
This is the repair most 15 Pro Max handsets need now. At two to three years old, most have passed enough charge cycles that capacity has dropped noticeably, and at £79 it is the cheapest way by a long distance to make the phone feel new again.
- Maximum capacity below 80 percent under Settings, Battery, Battery Health
- Sudden shutdowns with charge still on the meter
- Percentage falling in jumps rather than smoothly
- Warmth during undemanding tasks
- Needing a charger by mid-afternoon
Worth ruling out software first, since replacing a healthy cell achieves nothing. Our guide on why a phone battery drains so fast covers the usual culprits, and iPhone battery replacement lists pricing across the range.
Back Glass Replacement (£85)
Structurally bonded rear glass, removed with a laser separator. On this generation the frame is titanium rather than stainless steel, which conducts heat differently during removal, and it is one more reason the job needs proper equipment rather than a heat gun and patience.
- Loose fragments scratch the camera lenses from behind
- The moisture seal fails as soon as the glass cracks
- MagSafe and wireless charging become intermittent
- Trade-in value drops by more than the repair costs
See iPhone back glass repair for the method, and the cracked back glass guide for why DIY kits tend to end badly.
Charging Repair (£59)
The USB-C port on this generation takes more abuse than Lightning ever did, partly because the connector is physically larger and partly because people plug all sorts into it. Before you pay for a replacement, though, let us check for compacted lint, which stops the cable seating and accounts for most non-charging phones we see.
Genuine failure means charging that works only at one angle, cuts out when the phone moves, a loose connector, or charging that works while data transfer fails. Swap cable and plug first, then read why a phone will not charge. Our iPhone charging port repair page explains the work.
Camera Repair (£79)
The 15 Pro Max carried the longest optical zoom Apple had put in an iPhone at the time, using a folded lens arrangement that sits differently in the housing to a conventional module. It is worth having that repaired by someone who has done it before, because the alignment matters.
- Blurry or soft images across every mode after a drop
- Rattling or grinding as stabilisation fails
- Cracked outer lens cover with the module intact beneath
- Camera app opening black or crashing on launch
- Telephoto dead while the main and ultra-wide lenses work
That last symptom is the one specific to this model, and it is worth diagnosing properly rather than replacing the whole array. Lens cover damage is far cheaper than a module, and we establish which you need. If nothing was dropped, phone camera not working covers the software side.
Action Button and Side Switch Faults
The 15 Pro and Pro Max replaced the old mute slider with the programmable Action button, and it is a moving part that sees heavy daily use. When it fails, the symptoms are easy to misread as a software problem: the button stops responding entirely, needs pressing harder than it used to, triggers twice from a single press, or activates on its own in a pocket. Volume and power buttons on this generation fail in similar ways.
None of these need a new logic board. They are flex cable and switch assembly repairs, and they are quoted individually after a diagnostic because the cost depends on which assembly has gone. Bring it in and we will tell you what it needs rather than guessing over the phone.
Water Damage and Unexplained Faults
Liquid damage is assessed, not quoted blind. Corrosion spreads unpredictably and the honest answer only comes once the board is open and cleaned. Our iPhone water damage repair page explains the approach, and phone data recovery is there when the photographs matter more than the phone.
Anything else without a clear cause carries a £15 diagnostic, deducted from the repair if you proceed. Random restarts, signal loss, distorted audio and mystery drain all sit here. Start with phone keeps restarting or phone overheating.
Turnaround, Warranty and Booking
In-store repairs are usually completed within one to three hours on the same day and you are welcome to wait. Mail-in repairs are typically finished within eight to twelve hours of arriving and returned tracked, most customers seeing their phone within two to three working days. Send-back postage is free and Klarna is available at checkout.
Every eligible repair includes a 12 month warranty on parts and labour. Faults relating to our work are put right at no cost. New accidental damage, liquid damage and unrelated faults are excluded, and third party work afterwards voids it.

We also repair the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro Max, with the full range on our iPhone repairs page.
