Galaxy S24 Plus Repairs

The S24 Plus is the sensible Ultra. You get the large flat display and the endurance a bigger chassis allows, without paying for the S Pen, the titanium frame or the top-tier zoom camera. The repair pricing reflects that: a screen is £159 against £189 for the Ultra.

Galaxy S24 Plus Screen Replacement (£159)

A large AMOLED panel bonded beneath toughened glass, replaced as a complete assembly. Larger displays flex more across their length during an impact, which is why Plus handsets typically crack from an edge where smaller phones crack from a corner.

• Cracks running from an edge or corner impact
• Dead zones where touch no longer registers
• Vertical green, pink or white lines down the panel
• Black or discoloured patches spreading over several days
• Ghost touches occurring unprompted

The vertical line catches most people out. On Galaxy AMOLED panels a line can appear with no drop behind it, frequently just after a software update, which persuades owners it is a bug that will be patched. It will not be. Galaxy S24 Plus Battery Replacement (£59)

At £59 this is the cheapest battery in the S24 line and the repair we recommend most often on this model. The Plus was bought for its endurance, and a degraded cell takes that advantage straight back.

• Capacity noticeably below where it started
• Endurance feeling ordinary rather than good
• Sudden shutdowns with charge still displayed
• Charge dropping in steps rather than smoothly
• The handset warm during undemanding use

Galaxy S24 Plus Back Glass Replacement (£69)

Bonded rear glass removed with a laser separator. A larger phone means a larger bonded surface area, which makes clean removal harder rather than easier, and the wireless charging coil beneath will not survive heat and prying tools.

• Loose fragments scratch the camera lenses from behind
• The moisture seal fails as soon as the glass cracks
• Wireless charging becomes intermittent
• Trade-in value drops by more than the repair costs

Galaxy S24 Plus Charging Repair (£65)

Most charging complaints turn out to be compacted lint in the USB-C socket stopping the cable seating, not a failed port. We clean and test before quoting anything.

Galaxy S24 Plus Camera Repair (£79)

Camera repairs split between cracked outer lens covers and failed modules, at very different costs. The array stands proud of the body, so cover glass absorbs the impact when the phone lands face up, and on a heavier handset it takes rather more of it.

• Cracked lens cover with the modules beneath undamaged
• Blurry images across every shooting mode after a drop
• Rattling or grinding as optical stabilisation fails
• Camera app opening black or crashing on launch
• Ultra-wide or telephoto dead while the main lens works

Why Large Phones Break Differently

A big phone carries more mass into the impact point and flexes more across its length, so the same drop that leaves a compact handset scuffed will crack a Plus. It is also a two-handed device for most people, so the accidents we see happen mid-task from standing height rather than out of a pocket, which means a harder landing.

• A case with raised corners matters more on a large phone than a small one
• Raised camera bezels stop the array taking the impact face-up
• Check any tempered glass protector is rated for an under-display fingerprint reader
• Avoid back pockets, where a large chassis is prone to flexing

If your fingerprint reader became unreliable shortly after fitting a screen protector, the protector is very likely the cause rather than the phone. Peel it off and test before booking.

Water Damage and Unclear Faults

The S24 Plus has a water resistance rating, but that describes the phone factory-fresh and undamaged. After a drop or a cracked back panel the seal is compromised, and ratings cover fresh water rather than sea water.

Turnaround, Warranty and Booking

In-store repairs are usually completed within one to three hours on the same day and you are welcome to wait. Mail-in repairs are typically finished within eight to twelve hours of arriving and returned tracked, most customers seeing their phone in two to three working days. Every eligible repair includes a 12 month warranty on parts and labour. Faults relating to our work are put right at no cost. New accidental damage, liquid damage and unrelated faults are excluded.
