Galaxy S24 Ultra Repairs

The S24 Ultra was a genuine departure for the range. Samsung moved to a titanium frame and, for the first time on an Ultra, a completely flat display instead of the curved edges every previous model had. Both of those changed how the phone breaks and how it is repaired.

Galaxy S24 Ultra Screen Replacement (£189)

A large AMOLED panel bonded beneath toughened glass, replaced as a complete assembly. The flat display introduced on this model is genuinely better news for owners than the curved panels it replaced: curved edges concentrate impact force along a thin rim and crack from the sides very easily, while a flat panel spreads the load and survives more drops.

• Cracks radiating from a corner or edge impact
• Dead zones where touch no longer registers
• Vertical green, pink or white lines down the panel
• Black or discoloured patches spreading over days
• Ghost touches occurring with nobody holding the phone

The vertical line is the most misdiagnosed Samsung fault we see. On Galaxy AMOLED panels a line can appear with no impact behind it, very often shortly after a software update, which convinces owners it is a bug awaiting a patch. It is hardware, it spreads, and no update will clear it. Read phone screen flickering if that matches yours.

Galaxy S24 Ultra Battery Replacement (£65)

By now most S24 Ultras have enough charge cycles behind them to show it, and at £65 this is comfortably the best value repair on the phone. A large, bright, high refresh display draws steadily and Ultra owners work these hard.

• Capacity noticeably below where it started, under Settings then Battery and device care
• Sudden shutdowns with charge still displayed
• Charge dropping in steps rather than smoothly
• The handset warm during undemanding use
• Needing a charger by mid-afternoon where it once lasted the day

Galaxy S24 Ultra Camera Repair (£79)

The Ultra carries the most complex rear array Samsung builds, including a long optical zoom using a folded lens arrangement that sits differently in the housing to a conventional module. Alignment matters, so this is not a routine swap.

• Cracked outer lens cover with the modules beneath undamaged
• Blurry images across every shooting mode after a drop
• Rattling or grinding as optical stabilisation fails
• Camera app opening black or crashing on launch
• The zoom lens dead while the main and ultra-wide still work

That last symptom is specific to Ultra models and worth diagnosing properly rather than replacing the whole array. A cracked lens cover over healthy modules is far cheaper, and we always establish which you have. Where nothing was dropped, phone camera not working covers the software side.

Galaxy S24 Ultra Back Glass Replacement (£69)

Bonded rear glass removed with a laser separator rather than heat and prying tools. There is a large bonded area on an Ultra, which makes clean removal harder, and the wireless charging coil directly beneath rarely survives an improvised attempt.

• Loose fragments scratch the camera lenses from behind
• The moisture seal fails as soon as the glass cracks
• Wireless charging becomes intermittent
• Trade-in value drops by more than the repair costs

Galaxy S24 Ultra Charging Repair (£69)

Most Galaxy handsets brought in for charging faults need the USB-C socket cleaning rather than replacing. Compacted lint stops the cable seating fully, and clearing it is not a chargeable repair here.

Genuine failure means charging at one angle only, cutting out when the phone moves, a loose connector, or charging that works while data transfer does not. Try another cable and mains plug, then read why a phone will not charge. Our Samsung charging repair page covers the work.

S Pen Problems

The S Pen silo is a hole cut through an otherwise sealed chassis and a known route for dust and moisture on any Ultra. If the pen no longer registers, will not eject, or the phone stops detecting it being removed, that is usually the silo assembly or its connector rather than the pen itself. We diagnose and quote it individually.

Water Damage and Unclear Faults

The S24 Ultra has a water resistance rating, but ratings describe a phone factory-fresh and undamaged. A drop, a cracked back panel or a worn S Pen silo all compromise it. Ratings also cover fresh water rather than sea water, which is worth knowing anywhere near the coast.

Turnaround, Warranty and Booking

In-store repairs are usually completed within one to three hours on the same day and you are welcome to wait. Mail-in repairs are typically finished within eight to twelve hours of arriving and returned tracked, most customers seeing their phone in two to three working days. Every eligible repair includes a 12 month warranty on parts and labour. Faults relating to our work are put right at no cost. New accidental damage, liquid damage and unrelated faults are excluded.
