The S20 Ultra was Samsung at its most ambitious. It was the first Galaxy with a very high resolution main sensor and the long range zoom that made the phone famous, and it was a big, heavy, expensive handset. Prices are now far more approachable: screen £149, camera £59, back glass £59, battery £55, charging £49.

Galaxy S20 Ultra Battery Replacement (£55)

On a phone of this age this is the repair that decides whether it stays usable. The S20 Ultra drove a large, bright, high refresh display, and after this many charge cycles most original cells have very little left.

• Capacity noticeably below where it started, under Settings then Battery and device care
• Lasting a few hours where it once managed a day
• Sudden shutdowns with charge still displayed, worse in cold weather
• Charge dropping in large steps rather than smoothly
• The handset warm during undemanding use

Galaxy S20 Ultra Screen Replacement (£149)

A large curved AMOLED panel bonded beneath toughened glass, replaced as a complete assembly. The curved edges are the weak point: on a flat display a side impact meets the frame, but on a curved one the glass wraps around the edge, so there is active display exactly where the phone lands. S20 Ultras crack from the side far more often than the corner.

• Cracks running along or from a curved edge
• Dead zones where touch no longer registers
• Vertical green, pink or white lines down the panel
• Black or discoloured patches spreading over days
• Ghost touches, which curved panels are particularly prone to after damage

The vertical green line appears on Galaxy AMOLED panels of this era with no drop and no water, very often shortly after a software update. It is a hardware failure, it widens over weeks, and no update clears it. Read phone screen flickering if that matches yours.

Galaxy S20 Ultra Camera Repair (£59)

The camera is the reason most people bought this phone, and it is worth knowing that the S20 Ultra had documented autofocus difficulties early in its life which Samsung addressed through software. If yours hunts for focus, it is worth confirming the phone is fully updated before assuming hardware.

• Cracked outer lens cover with the modules beneath undamaged
• Blurry images across every shooting mode after a drop
• Rattling or grinding as optical stabilisation fails
• Camera app opening black or crashing on launch
• The zoom lens dead while the main and ultra-wide still work

The camera housing on this model is large and stands well proud of the body, so it is the first thing to make contact when the phone lands face up. Galaxy S20 Ultra Back Glass Replacement (£59)

Bonded rear glass removed with a laser separator rather than heat and prying tools. This is a large, heavy phone with a correspondingly large bonded area, and the wireless charging coil beneath rarely survives an improvised attempt.

• Loose fragments scratch the camera lenses from behind
• The moisture seal fails as soon as the glass cracks
• Wireless charging becomes intermittent
• Sharp edges are a genuine nuisance on a phone this size

Galaxy S20 Ultra Charging Repair (£49)

On a phone this age expect a USB-C socket thoroughly packed with compacted lint, which is very often the whole problem rather than a failed port. Clearing it is not a chargeable repair here.

Water Damage and Unclear Faults

The S20 Ultra has a water resistance rating, but that describes the phone factory-fresh and undamaged, and on a handset of this age the seals are long past their best. Ratings also cover fresh water rather than sea water, which matters locally.

Mail-in repairs are typically finished within eight to twelve hours of arriving and returned tracked, most customers seeing their phone in two to three working days.
