Galaxy S20 Plus Battery Replacement (£55)

On a phone of this age this is the repair that decides whether it stays in daily use. The Plus was chosen for its endurance, and a cell this far into its life takes that advantage straight back.

• Capacity noticeably below where it started, under Settings then Battery and device care
• Lasting a few hours where it once managed a full day
• Sudden shutdowns with charge still displayed, worse in cold weather
• Charge dropping in large steps rather than smoothly
• The handset warm during undemanding use

Galaxy S20 Plus Screen Replacement (£135)

A large curved AMOLED panel bonded beneath toughened glass, replaced as a complete assembly. The S20 generation was the first Galaxy line with high refresh displays throughout, and those panels remain genuinely good years on, which is a large part of why these phones are still worth keeping.

• Cracks running along or from a curved edge
• Dead zones where touch no longer registers
• Vertical green, pink or white lines down the panel
• Black or discoloured patches spreading over days
• Ghost touches, which curved panels are particularly prone to after damage

Because the display curves over the sides, a side impact lands directly on active screen rather than on the frame. That is why S20 Plus panels crack from the edge so often, and why a case with a raised lip matters more on this generation than on the flat-screened Galaxies that followed.

The vertical green line is a separate matter and a known failure on Galaxy AMOLED panels of this era. It appears with no drop and no water, often just after a software update, and no patch has ever cleared one. Read phone screen flickering if that matches yours. Galaxy S20 Plus Back Glass Replacement (£49)

Bonded rear glass removed with a laser separator rather than heat and prying tools. At £49 this is one of the cheaper rear repairs we offer on a flagship, and worth doing rather than living with.

• Loose fragments scratch the camera lenses from behind

Galaxy S20 Plus Charging Repair (£49)

On a phone this age expect a USB-C socket thoroughly packed with compacted lint, which is frequently the entire problem rather than a failed port. Clearing it is not a chargeable repair here.

Galaxy S20 Plus Camera Repair (£59)

The S20 generation uses a raised rectangular camera housing that stands well proud of the body, so it is the first thing to make contact when the phone lands face up. Cracked cover glass over undamaged modules is common and is a much cheaper repair than it appears.

• Cracked lens cover with the modules beneath undamaged
• Blurry images across every shooting mode after a drop
• Rattling or grinding as optical stabilisation fails
• Camera app opening black or crashing on launch
• Ultra-wide or telephoto dead while the main lens works

Is an S20 Plus Still Worth Repairing?

On a single fault, yes. A £55 battery on an otherwise sound S20 Plus buys years of useful life and fixes the thing most owners complain about. A £135 screen on a phone with no other problems is likewise reasonable.

Where it stops adding up is a handset needing three or more things at once, or one that has already had liquid in it. We will tell you plainly when you have reached that point rather than quoting for everything.

Water Damage and Unclear Faults

The S20 Plus has a water resistance rating, but that describes the phone factory-fresh and undamaged, and the seals on a handset this age have long since degraded. Ratings also cover fresh water rather than sea water.

In-store repairs are usually completed within one to three hours on the same day and you are welcome to wait. Mail-in repairs are typically finished within eight to twelve hours of arriving and returned tracked, most customers seeing their phone in two to three working days.
