Galaxy S23 Plus Repairs

The S23 Plus is a quietly sensible phone and one of the better value Galaxy handsets to keep running. A screen is £155 against £199 for the S23 Ultra of the same year, largely because the Plus uses a flat panel while the Ultra kept curved edges. Flat displays are cheaper to make and considerably harder to break.

Galaxy S23 Plus Screen Replacement (£155)

A large flat AMOLED panel bonded beneath toughened glass, replaced as a complete assembly. The flat design genuinely helps: on a curved screen the glass wraps around the edge, so there is display exactly where the phone lands, whereas a flat panel lets the frame take the hit.

• Cracks running from an edge or corner impact
• Dead zones where touch no longer registers
• Vertical green, pink or white lines down the panel
• Black or discoloured patches spreading over several days
• Ghost touches occurring unprompted

The vertical line is the fault people most often get wrong. On Galaxy AMOLED panels a line can appear with no drop behind it, frequently just after a software update, which persuades owners it is a bug awaiting a patch. Galaxy S23 Plus Battery Replacement (£59)

On a phone of this age this is usually the repair that matters most. The Plus was bought for the endurance a bigger chassis allows, and a degraded cell takes that advantage straight back.

• Capacity noticeably below where it started
• Endurance feeling ordinary rather than good
• Sudden shutdowns with charge still displayed
• Charge dropping in steps rather than smoothly
• The handset warm during undemanding use

Galaxy S23 Plus Back Glass Replacement (£59)

Bonded rear glass removed with a laser separator. A larger phone means a larger bonded surface area, which makes clean removal harder, and the wireless charging coil beneath will not survive heat and prying tools.

• Loose fragments scratch the camera lenses from behind
• The moisture seal fails as soon as the glass cracks
• Wireless charging becomes intermittent
• Trade-in value drops by more than the repair costs

Galaxy S23 Plus Charging Repair (£55)

On a phone this age expect a USB-C socket packed with compacted lint, which is very often the whole problem rather than a failed port. Clearing it is not a chargeable repair here.

Galaxy S23 Plus Camera Repair (£69)

The S23 generation moved to individual lens rings standing proud of the body rather than a single shared housing. That means each lens takes direct impacts and cracks individually, which is often good news: replacing one cracked ring is far cheaper than a whole array.

• Rattling or grinding as optical stabilisation fails

• Ultra-wide or telephoto dead while the main lens works

Is an S23 Plus Still Worth Repairing?

A fair question on a phone of this age, and the answer is usually yes, but it depends on what it needs.

A single repair almost always makes sense. A £59 battery on an otherwise healthy S23 Plus buys you another couple of years of a phone that still handles everything most people do. A £155 screen on a handset with no other problems is likewise straightforward.

• One repair on a sound phone: nearly always worth doing
• Battery alone: the best value repair we offer on this model
• Screen plus battery together: still comfortably cheaper than replacing
• Three or more separate faults: worth a proper conversation first
• Serious liquid damage: usually the point where it stops adding up

Where it gets marginal is a phone needing several things at once, or one that has already had water in it. We will tell you plainly when that is the case rather than quoting for everything and letting you work it out afterwards. Losing the job is better than taking your money for a phone that disappoints you a month later.

Water Damage and Unclear Faults

The S23 Plus has a water resistance rating, but that describes the phone factory-fresh and undamaged, and on a handset this age the seals are past their best regardless. Ratings also cover fresh water rather than sea water, which matters locally.

In-store repairs are usually completed within one to three hours on the same day and you are welcome to wait. Mail-in repairs are typically finished within eight to twelve hours of arriving and returned tracked, most customers seeing their phone in two to three working days.
