Galaxy S25 Plus Repairs
The S25 Plus is the phone people choose when they want the big display without paying Ultra money and without needing the S Pen. That logic holds up at repair time too: a Plus screen is £199 against £279 for the Ultra, despite the two panels being similar in size.
All work is carried out at our Essex repair centre with a twelve month warranty on parts and labour.
Galaxy S25 Plus Screen Replacement (£199)
A large AMOLED panel bonded beneath toughened glass, replaced as a complete assembly. Larger displays flex more across their length during an impact, which is why Plus handsets tend to crack from an edge where smaller phones crack from a corner.
- Cracks running from an edge or corner impact
- Dead zones where touch no longer registers
- Vertical green, pink or white lines down the panel
- Black or discoloured patches spreading over several days
- Ghost touches occurring unprompted
The vertical line is the one people most often get wrong. On Galaxy AMOLED panels a line can appear with no drop behind it, very often shortly after a software update, which persuades owners it is a bug that will be patched out. It will not be. It is a hardware fault in the panel and it spreads. Read phone screen flickering if that matches yours, then bring it in.
The fingerprint reader sits beneath the display, so a replacement panel has to be seated correctly and the sensor tested afterwards. We do that before the phone goes back. More on our Samsung screen repair page.
Galaxy S25 Plus Battery Replacement (£65)
The Plus exists largely because a bigger chassis allows a bigger battery, and that creates a specific problem later on. Owners spend a couple of years never thinking about charging, then find the decline unusually stark because they had grown used to genuinely good endurance.
- Capacity noticeably below where it started
- Endurance feeling ordinary rather than good
- Sudden shutdowns with charge still displayed
- Charge dropping in steps rather than smoothly
- The handset warm during undemanding use
A large cell also masks software drain for a long time, so it is worth eliminating those causes before replacing hardware. Our guide on why a phone battery drains so fast covers them, and Samsung battery replacement has pricing across the range. If the phone is running hot, phone overheating is worth a read.
Galaxy S25 Plus Back Glass Replacement (£69)
Bonded rear glass removed with a laser separator. A larger phone means a larger bonded surface area, which makes clean removal harder rather than easier, and the wireless charging coil directly beneath will not survive heat and prying tools.
- Loose fragments scratch the camera lenses from behind
- The moisture seal fails as soon as the glass cracks
- Wireless charging becomes intermittent
- Trade-in value drops by more than the repair costs
Our cracked back glass guide explains why home kits make things worse.
Galaxy S25 Plus Charging Repair (£59)
Most Galaxy handsets brought to us for charging problems need the USB-C socket cleaning rather than replacing. Compacted lint stops the cable seating fully, and clearing it is not a chargeable repair here.
Genuine port failure means charging at one angle only, cutting out when the phone moves, a connector that feels loose, or charging that works while data transfer does not. Try another cable and mains plug first, then read why a phone will not charge. Our Samsung charging repair page covers the work.
Galaxy S25 Plus Camera Repair (£79)
Camera repairs split between cracked outer lens covers and failed modules, at very different costs. Because the array stands proud of the body, cover glass absorbs the impact when the phone lands face up, and on a heavier handset it takes rather more of it.
- Cracked lens cover with the modules beneath undamaged
- Blurry images across every shooting mode after a drop
- Rattling or grinding as optical stabilisation fails
- Camera app opening black or crashing on launch
- Ultra-wide or telephoto dead while the main lens works
We check which you need rather than quoting for a module by default. Where nothing was dropped, phone camera not working covers the software causes.
Why Large Phones Break Differently
We repair enough Plus handsets to see the pattern clearly. A big phone carries more mass into the impact point and flexes more across its length, so the same drop that leaves a compact handset scuffed will crack a Plus. It is also a two-handed device for most people, so the accidents we see happen mid-task from standing height rather than out of a pocket, which means a harder landing.
- A case with raised corners matters more on a large phone than a small one
- Raised camera bezels stop the array taking the impact face-up
- Check any tempered glass protector is rated for an under-display fingerprint reader
- Avoid back pockets, where a large chassis is prone to flexing
That protector point catches people out. If your fingerprint reader became unreliable shortly after you fitted one, the protector is the likely cause rather than the phone. Peel it off and test before booking anything.
Water Damage and Unclear Faults
The S25 Plus has a water resistance rating, but that describes the phone factory-fresh and undamaged. After a drop or a cracked back panel the seal is compromised. Ratings also cover fresh water rather than sea water, which is worth knowing locally.
Liquid damage is assessed rather than quoted. See phone water damage repair for our approach, and phone data recovery if the contents matter more than the handset. Anything else unclear carries a £15 diagnostic, deducted from the repair if you proceed, and phone keeps restarting is a good first read.
Turnaround, Warranty and Booking
In-store repairs are usually completed within one to three hours on the same day and you are welcome to wait. Mail-in repairs are typically finished within eight to twelve hours of arriving and returned tracked, most customers seeing their phone in two to three working days. Send-back postage is free and Klarna is available at checkout.
Every eligible repair includes a 12 month warranty on parts and labour. Faults relating to our work are put right at no cost. New accidental damage, liquid damage and unrelated faults are excluded.

We also repair the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Plus, with the full range on our Samsung repairs page.
Galaxy S25 Plus Repairs: Questions We Get Asked
Why does my S25 Plus battery suddenly seem much worse?
Because it started so good. The Plus exists largely because a bigger chassis allows a bigger battery, so owners spend a couple of years never thinking about charging and then find the decline unusually stark. A large cell also masks software drain for far longer, so it is genuinely worth checking which apps are responsible before replacing anything.
Are S25 Plus screens more fragile than the compact S25?
Not weaker, but more exposed. A larger panel flexes further across its length during an impact, which is why Plus handsets typically crack from an edge where a compact phone cracks from a corner. Two-handed use also means the drops happen from standing height mid-task rather than from pocket height, so the landings are harder.
My fingerprint reader is unreliable since I fitted a protector. Why?
The sensor reads through the display, so a thick or poor quality tempered glass protector can stop it working properly, and an air bubble underneath causes intermittent failures. Peel it off and test before booking anything. If it works again, the protector was the problem. If you want a protector, check it is specifically rated for an under-display reader.
What is the vertical line on my S25 Plus screen?
A known hardware failure on Galaxy AMOLED panels. It appears with no drop and no water, very often within days of a software update, and owners reasonably assume a patch will fix it. It will not. The line widens over the following weeks and only a new display resolves it, so waiting only means living with a wider line.
Is a screen and battery together still cheaper than replacing an S25 Plus?
Comfortably, yes. A £199 screen and a £65 battery together is still a small fraction of a replacement flagship, and the phone has years of software support ahead of it. Where the sums genuinely change is three or more separate faults at once, or serious liquid damage, and we will tell you plainly if yours is at that point.
Does sea water damage a phone worse than fresh water?
Considerably, and it is worth knowing because water resistance ratings are established using fresh water. Salt is far more aggressive and corrosion spreads faster afterwards. If a phone has been in the sea, get it to us quickly rather than leaving it, because time genuinely works against you with salt water.
