Galaxy S23 Repairs from £55

The S23 is one of the best value flagships to keep in service. A screen is £139, a battery £55, and charging work £55. For a phone that still does everything most people need, those numbers make repair the obvious choice over replacement.

Galaxy S23 Battery Replacement (£55)

Putting this first because on an S23 it is usually the answer. Compact flagships have less internal volume than their Plus and Ultra siblings, so the standard S23 has always worked its battery harder, and by now most have enough cycles behind them to show it.

• Capacity noticeably below where it started, under Settings then Battery and device care
• Sudden shutdowns with charge still displayed
• Charge dropping in steps rather than smoothly
• The handset warm during light use
• Needing a top-up by early afternoon where it once lasted the day

Software causes look identical from outside, so eliminate those before paying for a cell that was never the problem. Galaxy S23 Screen Replacement (£139)

A flat AMOLED panel bonded beneath toughened glass, replaced as a complete assembly. The S23 and S23 Plus both used flat displays while only the Ultra kept curved edges, and the flat design is genuinely more robust: a side impact meets the frame rather than the display itself.

• Cracks radiating from a corner or edge impact
• Dead zones where touch no longer registers
• Vertical green, pink or white lines down the panel
• Black or discoloured patches spreading over days
• Ghost touches occurring with nobody holding the phone

The vertical line is the single most misdiagnosed Samsung fault we deal with. On Galaxy AMOLED panels a line can appear with no impact behind it, very often shortly after a software update, and people wait for a patch that never arrives. Galaxy S23 Back Glass Replacement (£59)

Bonded rear glass removed with a laser separator. Attempted with heat and prying tools, the wireless charging coil directly underneath rarely survives, which is why quotes for this job vary so much elsewhere.

• Loose fragments scratch the camera lenses from behind
• The moisture seal fails as soon as the glass cracks
• Wireless charging becomes unreliable
• Trade-in value drops by more than the repair costs

Galaxy S23 Charging Repair (£55)

On a phone of this age expect a USB-C socket well packed with compacted lint, and it is frequently the entire problem rather than a failed port. Clearing it is not a chargeable repair here, and we will tell you if that is all it needed.

Genuine failure means charging that works only at one angle, cuts out when the phone is moved, a connector that feels loose, or charging that works while data transfer refuses. Galaxy S23 Camera Repair (£69)

The S23 generation moved to individual lens rings standing proud of the body rather than a single shared housing. Each lens therefore takes direct impacts and cracks on its own, which often works in your favour, because replacing one cracked ring costs far less than a whole array.

• Cracked lens cover on one lens with the others undamaged
• Blurry images across every shooting mode after a drop
• Rattling or grinding as optical stabilisation fails
• Camera app opening black or crashing on launch
• Ultra-wide dead while the main lens works normally

Software Updates and What They Do Not Cause

One thing worth clearing up, because we hear it constantly. A software update can genuinely change how a phone behaves: battery drain often worsens for a few days after a major One UI release while the system re-indexes, and that usually settles on its own within a week.

What an update cannot do is crack a panel, kill a charging port or break a camera module. If a hardware symptom appeared right after an update, the timing is usually coincidence, or the update simply made an existing fault visible. The vertical line on an AMOLED is the classic example: it appears after an update and people wait months for a patch that was never coming.

If you are unsure which you are dealing with, bring the phone in. The diagnostic is £15 and comes off the repair, and we would rather tell you to go home and wait a week than sell you a part you do not need.

Water Damage and Faults Without an Obvious Cause

The S23 carries a water resistance rating, but that describes the phone factory-fresh and undamaged, and on a handset this age the seals have degraded regardless. Ratings also cover fresh water rather than sea water, which is worth knowing anywhere near the coast.

Anything else unclear carries a £15 diagnostic, deducted from the repair if you go ahead. Phone keeps restarting is a sensible first read for intermittent faults.

In-store repairs are usually completed within one to three hours on the same day and you are welcome to wait. Mail-in repairs are typically finished within eight to twelve hours of arriving and returned by tracked delivery, most customers seeing their phone in two to three working days. Every eligible repair includes a 12 month warranty on parts and labour whatever the age of the handset. Faults relating to our work are put right at no cost. New accidental damage, liquid damage and unrelated faults are excluded.
