The Note 10 Plus is many people’s favourite Note, and it is still a genuinely capable phone. It was also the first Note to drop the headphone socket, which caused considerable grumbling at the time and is worth remembering if you are buying one second hand.

Galaxy Note 10 Plus S Pen and Silo Repairs

The S Pen is why you own a Note, so it comes first. The silo is a hole cut through an otherwise sealed chassis, making it a known route for dust and moisture, and the mechanism wears from thousands of insertions over the years.

• The pen no longer registering on screen
• The pen failing to eject, or sitting loose in the silo
• The phone no longer detecting the pen being removed
• Air gestures or remote shutter failing while writing still works
• Pressure sensitivity gone, so every stroke draws the same weight

The Note 10 pen introduced air gestures, powered by its own internal battery and Bluetooth radio, entirely separate from the digitiser that reads writing. So a pen that writes perfectly but will not work as a camera remote almost always has a pen battery or pairing issue rather than a phone fault. Charge it in the silo for a few minutes and retry before booking anything. Bring the pen with the handset and we will test both.

Galaxy Note 10 Plus Screen Replacement (£129)

A large curved AMOLED panel bonded beneath toughened glass, replaced as a complete assembly. The digitiser that reads the S Pen forms part of that assembly, so a cracked screen sometimes takes pen input with it even where finger touch still works.

• Cracks running along or from a curved edge
• Dead zones where touch no longer registers
• Vertical green, pink or white lines down the panel
• Black or discoloured patches spreading over days
• The S Pen failing across part of the screen after an impact

Because the display curves over both long edges, a side impact lands on active screen rather than on the frame, which is why these crack from the edge so readily. The vertical green line is a separate and well known Galaxy AMOLED failure that appears with no impact at all, often after a software update, and no patch has ever cleared one. Galaxy Note 10 Plus Battery Replacement (£59)

On a phone of this age this is nearly always the repair worth doing, and it is what keeps a Note 10 Plus in daily service.

• Capacity noticeably below where it started, under Settings then Battery and device care
• Lasting a few hours where it once managed a full day
• Sudden shutdowns with charge still displayed, worse in cold weather
• Charge dropping in large steps rather than smoothly
• The handset warm during light use

Galaxy Note 10 Plus Back Glass Replacement (£59)

Bonded rear glass removed with a laser separator rather than heat and prying tools. The wireless charging coil sits directly beneath and will not survive an improvised attempt.

• Loose fragments scratch the camera lenses from behind
• The moisture seal fails as soon as the glass cracks
• Wireless charging becomes unreliable
• Sharp edges are a genuine nuisance in daily use

Galaxy Note 10 Plus Charging Repair (£55)

On a phone this age expect a USB-C socket packed with years of compacted lint, and it is very often the entire problem rather than a failed port. Clearing it is not a chargeable repair here. This matters more on a Note 10 Plus than most, because with no headphone socket the USB-C port is doing double duty for audio as well as charging.

Galaxy Note 10 Plus Camera Repair (£69)

A vertical rear array with a punch-hole front camera set into the top of the display. Both are repairable and quoted individually.

• Cracked lens cover with the modules beneath undamaged
• Blurry images across every shooting mode after a drop
• Rattling or grinding as optical stabilisation fails
• Camera app opening black or crashing on launch
• The front camera failing while the rear array works

Water Damage and Unclear Faults

The Note 10 Plus has a water resistance rating, but the S Pen silo is a genuine weak point on any Note, and on a handset of this age the seals should be treated as degraded. Ratings also cover fresh water rather than sea water.

Liquid damage is assessed rather than quoted, and on a phone of this age we will be direct about whether repair is economic. Mail-in repairs are typically finished within eight to twelve hours of arriving and returned tracked, most customers seeing their phone in two to three working days.
