iPhone 16 Plus Repairs: Pro Max Screen Size, Standard Model Prices

People buy the Plus for two reasons. They want the big display without paying Pro money, and they want the battery life that a larger chassis allows. Both of those hold true for repairs as well: a 16 Plus screen costs £189 against £299 for the Pro Max panel, despite the two handsets being similar in size.

What owners tend not to expect is that a bigger phone is a more droppable phone. The Plus is genuinely a two-handed device for most people, and the moments it slips are the moments you were reaching for something else. That is the single biggest reason these arrive with us.

Screen Replacement for the iPhone 16 Plus (£189)

A bonded OLED panel beneath Ceramic Shield glass, replaced as a single assembly. Larger panels flex more across their length during an impact, which is why Plus screens often crack from an edge rather than a corner.

• Green, pink or white vertical lines after a drop
• Dark patches bleeding outward over days

Always worth checking first: a handset that rings and vibrates with a black screen has frequently just lost a display connector in the fall, and reseating it costs far less than a new panel. Battery Replacement for the iPhone 16 Plus (£95)

Here is the irony of the Plus. It ships with one of the better batteries in the range, so owners get used to genuinely excellent endurance, and then notice degradation far more sharply than a smaller phone user would. Going from two days to one feels like a fault even though it is simply a cell doing what cells do.

• Charge falling in jumps rather than steadily
• Endurance noticeably shorter than when new
• The handset warm during ordinary use

Back Glass Replacement for the iPhone 16 Plus (£99)

Rear glass is structurally bonded and comes off with a laser separator. On a panel this large there is more surface area bonded to the frame, which makes clean removal harder and is exactly why so many shops turn the job away or quote erratically for it.

Do not leave it cracked:

• Fragments migrate and scratch the camera lenses from behind
• The moisture seal fails the moment the glass goes
• MagSafe and wireless charging turn intermittent
• Resale value falls further than the repair price

Charging Repair for the iPhone 16 Plus (£89)

Check the simple thing first. Lint compacts into the base of the USB-C socket and stops the cable seating fully, and it accounts for a large proportion of the phones brought to us as charging faults. We clean and test before quoting a port.

True port failure means charging that works only at a specific angle, cuts out when the phone shifts, a loose connector, or charging that works while data transfer does not. Camera Repair for the iPhone 16 Plus (£89)

Camera faults split into lens cover damage and module failure, at meaningfully different prices. Because the rear array sits proud of the body, cover glass takes the hit when the phone lands face up, and that is the cheaper of the two outcomes.

• Blurred images in every mode following an impact
• Rattling or grinding as stabilisation gives up
• Cracked lens cover over an undamaged module
• Camera app opening black or crashing
• Ultra-wide dead while the main lens works normally

Liquid Damage and Faults That Need Diagnosis

In-store repairs are usually completed within one to three hours the same day, and you can wait. Mail-in repairs are typically finished within eight to twelve hours of arriving at the workshop and returned tracked, with most customers receiving the handset in two to three working days. All eligible repairs carry a 12 month warranty covering parts and labour. Faults relating to our work are corrected at no cost. New accidental damage, liquid damage and unrelated pre-existing faults are excluded, and third party work afterwards voids the warranty.
